It was here, in 1940, that two passionateFrench pioneers established a school to teach the art of woodcraft to locals. This foundational project transformed Hagaza into a renowned center for handmadewoodcraft. Today, skilled artisans carry on this tradition, creating unique pieces from Sarsou wood, a local and exceptionally hard timber.
